If I seem to disappear every couple of weekends it is because I am a rowing mum! how many of you have been here? It is a huge commitment with lots of travel and dedication – We have been involved now for five years, first with one, then two, now three girls… they will not be Olympic champions but they are learning lots about health, fitness, commitment, friendships, team work and responsibility… so despite the many hours I spend at rowing there are so many positives… one being that at our State Regattas I get to wake up to the sound of Kookaburras, wallabies and this view…

P1020585 what could be better to renew the soul, soothe tired and business weary brains and totally refresh for the week ahead..

P1020784not to mention the pride and satisfaction one gets from watching kids (and adults) strive for their best ,despite setbacks, injuries, mechanical breakdowns and weather – they are all there to push themselves to the limit – to achieve just a tiny milestone – and to leave feeling exhausted but exhilarated. friendships are formed and grown, teamwork is tested, emotions soar and dive and above all, much fun is had. IMG_2998 for me, there is no computer, no housework, no phone ringing, no deadlines that can be met… just good company, good food and wine (yes we don’t miss out!), good spirits and above all
