On Saturday I head off yet again for a few days of catching up with family and friends and a bit of sharing with stitchers thrown in there. This time we are all going which is always nicer than on your own.

I am teaching two classes to the ever bubbly girls at Country Chix in Kadina on Colourque and then another at Country Crafts and Fabrics in Minlaton South Australia.

Lisa from Country Chix also has another connection with our family. Both she and now my husband are Registered marriage Celebrants. Rohan will be doing his first wedding on our trip, actually marrying my cousin who was a flowergirl in our wedding 17 years ago. Lisa has been very generous in sharing her knowledge with Rohan - who being a drummer and compere has plenty of performance experience but not so much of the 'boring' but necessary side of being a Celebrant - you know, paperwork, legal requirements etc.  I will also be staying with my bridesmaid and still best friend Bec. Although we've moved on many times in many ways, our friendship remains strong and is a very special thing to have.

Didn't she look so cute? I will show you a wedding pic on our return to see how she looks now. Carly is the little one on the right....as you can see I loved flowers back then also....and Bec probably hated that lilac dress!

While I am away I have something to show you... at market last weekend, actually two nights before I left, these finally arrived from the printers...

collagenotecards2

Yes a set of six Greeting cards with favourite designs from the Nice People Nice Things quilt. The cards are blank on the inside for your personalised greeting and I will be using them for Chrissy presents, teacher presents and just to say 'I care'. They will be in your local stores soon or you can check here.

but wait, there's more...

yes, we also have notepads.... I can never find a nice piece of paper to write on to include with a gift, a note to the teacher or to my mum..... one can never have too many notepads and I have made them in a nice and useful A5 size (about half Letter size) and with 50 pages in each. There are two designs, one for quilting friends and one for other friends.

NOTEPADCOLLAGE

So it must be time for a giveaway. I have one set of cards and two notepads to share with you. Leave a comment with a way you might use a greeting card like this or a piece of note paper... for example - to say I'm thinking of you' to a neighbour in need, with a tin of homemade biccies for the teacher etc etc..

I shall draw the winners on my return on the 1st of December and look forward to some nice ideas to use in the future.

hugs, Helen
