Whilst at Market I presented a schoolhouse session (they are like educational sessions for storeowners and their staff) on the therapy of Stitching. Many of you who know me would know I stitch every night for my therapy. I think we all stitch for different reasons but we all get satisfaction and some therapy from the process.

When I started Hugs ‘n Kisses my tagline was ‘feelgood stitcheries and associated thingys!’ and I try to keep this in mind when designing all of my work. How might it help the person who will be making or displaying this?

so, with this in mind

I thought it was time to show you all one of my new designs released at market.

Lori – my saviour and Office Manager asked if I could design this especially for her close friend Keri who lost her battle with Breast Cancer last year. Keri had given Lori, many years before a small cushion with this verse on it.

50c from every pattern sold is going to be donated to Breast Cancer Australia – so not only do you get to experience therapy whilst stitching this project, you will also be making a difference.

I have stretched this version over an inexpensive Artists canvas and stapled the edges onto the frame at the back. I have also stitched a redwork version which is made into a small hanging which would be a great gift for that special friend in your life. The instructions are included for both versions in the pattern along with that ‘have to have’ iron on transfer.
