I have had a few quiet months, no travel, just sitting here in my studio busily working away by myself. I have designed and stitched much (I have holes in my fingers to prove it) but haven’t actually shown you anything finished!  I promise, it will come – my pile of UFO’s – actually AF’s is growing – everything is ‘almost finished’- just needing those last little details completed – like handles or quilting, binding, pattern writing, photography etc.

So to all of my new friends who have travelled to my blog from Madame Samms – please don’t leave me – there will be much new eye candy coming soon.

In the meantime, to welcome you all here and for my long time blog friends I thought I’d have a little giveaway. Hopefully many of you got out those pencils last week and had a go at Colourque. I thought I’d giveaway my original sample I used for the Tutorial.

P1090188

It is just bare, finished ready for appliquéing onto a project of your choice which I’d love to see. Also, for those of you who loved your play with Colourque  I will give away three copies of the ‘bible’ of Colourque -

fauxappliquecoverwebThis has step by step photos and instructions on every detail of the basic version of Colourque (what you learnt last week) – it also has the designs and instructions for the Baltimore Quilt on the cover plus 5 other dreamy projects to match. You will be an expert with this.

So, what you need to do is leave a comment (make sure your blog address is in your comment settings – or put it in your actual comment) because you also need to list this blog in your personal blog roll = you know, the list of blogs on your blog that you love to visit. The first entry drawn will get a book and the finished piece, the second and third will receive a book each. If you share the competition (I know that gives you a lesser chance but sharing and caring is what we are about :) ) then there may even be a bonus!

okay, must get back to a UFO or an AF project now so I can live up to my promise soon.

hugs for today

Helen
