ohhh oh oh…. I must have been living on another planet lately as I hadn’t hooked onto this craze until a new class was added to the AMQF class list!  But I think I am already a Zenaddict!  I have wasted hours this week trawling through inspiration here, here , here and here and more… I have everyone in the house tangling…

I don’t know the ‘rules’ or anything yet – I am going to take Jane’s class in October for that but for now I am just playing every minute myself.. This was my first attempt…

yes I know, I need a LOT more practise

these are some patterns I have been playing with – I have had many of them sketched for something else exciting down the track but now they can all come together in tangles…

I have always looooved doodling, and was a calligraphy addict about 20 years ago. Tangling brings this all together for me and I can see so many roads here- stitchery, quilting designs, appliqué, colourque, small art prints and more   - but for now I just want to draw..

Jane, a fellow Tassie, is going to the home of Zentangles very soon to become accredited as a Zentangle teacher, and we will have her right here on our doorstep! If you are going to AMQF (the Australian Machine Quilting Festival) get in early to book..

okay, go get a black pen and start tangling….

Tomorrow I’ll show you my other drawings I have been working on for a new Very own Virtuoso class – wholecloth design – this one is for those of you who claim you cannot draw – but you could trace couldn’t you? if you want to try the trace option book this one at AMQF also.

hugs and happy tangling,

Helen
