Jolly Old Santa Table Runner

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf’. This table runner is a companion pattern to the 'Twas The Night Before Christmas' BOM quilt.  For your Festive Table, for all to admire when St. Nic comes to town. 

Table runner Measures 12” x 55” 

Techniques include redwork stitchery, machine piecing and machine quilting. 

Light background stitchery fabric – 12”/30cm
Two further light fabrics (white/red) - 6” x 30”/15cm x 75cm of each
Three  dark fabrics (red/white) - 6” x 16”/15cm x 40cm of each
(it is best to use small scale red and white prints, which read either light or dark once put together)
Binding - one Fat Quarter
Fusible pellon (very lightweight fusible batting) – 12“/30cm
Batting and backing fabric- 150cm x 35cm/60” x 14“
4yd/3.5m red Ric Rac (1.5cm/5/8” wide)
DMC stranded cotton - 115 Variegated Garnet
6-8” embroidery hoop, #7/8 crewel needles, appliqué needle
Cream 100% cotton sewing thread
