I was reminded yesterday that it is only 3 weeks until I hit the skies and travel to the Adelaide Hills, I think still one of my favourite places in Australia. My little trip is to meet all of Jane's lovely friends and share in a day of stitching joy.

Jane from the Patchwork Apple in Woodside South Australia is holding her first ever Gathering  in The Gallery of the Old Woollen Mill, Lobethal. Jane sent me a lovely pack of Robyn Pandolphs 'Flirt' fabrics to work with to come up with a project for the girls on the day. This is what I came up with.

applecobbler copy  I have named it 'Apple Cobbler'. It has just come back from the quilters (thanks Tracey), the binding is done and its in the mail today. It uses some of my Colourque(R) - pencil colouring which is really fun and easy to try at Gatherings and applique. Jane will have full kits for the quilt I am sure or we can just do the fun centre block on the day.

As the theme for the day is Cupcakes I also have another little treat but its a secret so just a peek here. The rest of you will have to wait for the pattern release after the day, but I am sure I can organise a little giveaway for you so you don't miss out.

I hope to meet many of my blogging visitors there and a few angel swappers, it is really nice to put faces to blog names.

I hope I can help make Jane's first Gathering a fantastic day and that everyone will go home happy and fulfilled with new projects they just love, new techniques, new friendships and new memories. All a gal could ask for....

hugs for today

Helen
