A peek a few posts ago I showed you this from the Ginger Blossom range of fabrics.

well it has now transformed into this

I love anything with circles at the moment although I find they do not suit every style or range of fabrics. And I love quick and clever but simple with a wow effect so this has been really fun to make. It takes 2 1/2" strips so is perfect for a jelly roll and charm pack and goes together in a couple of hours. The perfect finishing touch to it was some hand dyed ric rac from The Quilted Crow - they thought it hadn't worked and were tossing it but it was an exact match so I took it off their hands:)

So I guess a giveaway is in order....say hi and you will be in it to win it... if you are not the lucky one then you will soon be able to purchase the pattern from here or many of these stores.

As for the flirt fabrics I showed you in the same post - well version #3 is still on the cutting table after #1 and #2 were scrapped..... hate wastage of fabric but will have to find something else to do with those borders... so I shall still pick a winner from those comments but the wait for the pattern will be a little longer than anticipated.

and just one more thing..... it is always so satisfying to receive letters and emails from people who stitch and get enjoyment from something I have created for them... I am just a normal stitcher trying to instill my passion and love of the craft to others so it was lovely to have this in my inbox this morning.

'It is with much pleasure that tell you that I am currently teaching in Africa.

I am teaching a group primary school - grade 6.

Every week, after school, I hold stitching classes for almost 20 students.

I have been using the set of 6 Christmas thoughts to have them stitch.

They are most intrigued with the lines of the carols and I have to teach them the carols as well.

I guess that that takes care of my Christmas item.

I'm hoping that the girls will have finished their stitching, which we will tack to a t shirt and wear when we sing at the concert.

Thanks you for all the pleasure that you have given me from the use of your products.'

Thankyou Judy for taking the time to email and for sharing the joys of thread with your students in Africa. I am sure we really could cure many of the worlds problems through stitching.

hugs for today, Helen
